ABOUT THIS WINE
The 7 Rows Orange wine, vintage 2022, is a natural wine produced by the micro-winery 7 Řádků (7 Rows), a collaboration between Jan Šlancar and Filip Nagy. The winery's name originates from the initial seven rows of vines planted. This wine is a skin-contact white, or orange wine, made from Welschriesling and Riesling grapes. The fruit is sourced from the Moravia region in the Czech Republic and Devín in Slovakia, highlighting a cross-border winemaking approach. The producers are committed to natural winemaking practices, emphasizing minimal intervention to allow the grapes and terroir to express themselves authentically.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The 7 Rows Orange wine is produced using natural winemaking techniques. Key to its character is the extended maceration of white grape varieties (Welschriesling and Riesling) on their skins, a process that defines it as an orange wine. Fermentation is carried out using native yeasts, which are naturally present on the grape skins and in the winery environment. Throughout the process, sulfur additions are kept to a minimum. After fermentation and pressing, the wine undergoes aging in oak barrels, which contributes to its structure and complexity. The overall approach emphasizes minimal intervention to allow the authentic expression of the fruit and region.
