ABOUT THIS WINE
Fattoria Aldobrandesca's 'A' is a prestigious project by the historic Marchesi Antinori family, representing a dedicated challenge to craft a world-class dry rosé from the ancient Aleatico grape. Located in the southern Maremma near the historic town of Sovana, the estate's vineyards thrive on unique volcanic tufa soils. Historically, Aleatico was reserved for sweet passito wines, but this cuvée redefines the variety, showcasing its remarkable capacity for elegance, freshness, and mineral tension in a dry style.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are hand-harvested in multiple passes during early September to ensure optimal aromatic maturity. Upon arrival at the winery, the fruit is destemmed and gently crushed. A cold maceration on the skins for 4 to 6 hours extracts the delicate pale coral-pink color and aromatic precursors. Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16°C. The wine is then aged entirely on its fine lees in stainless steel until bottling to preserve its vibrant primary fruit and floral character.
