Alamos Malbec

Alamos is a historic label crafted by the pioneering Catena family, who have championed high-altitude winemaking in Mendoza, Argentina, for over 120 years. Founded in 1902 by Italian immigrant Nicola Catena, the family estate has been instrumental in elevating Malbec to international acclaim. The name "Alamos" refers to the majestic poplar trees that line the high-altitude vineyards at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. These trees serve as vital windbreaks, protecting the delicate vines from the harsh, freezing mountain winds. Sourced from select vineyards in Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, this wine represents a century-long family legacy of mountain viticulture.
