Albillo Real

Las Moradas de San Martín was founded in 1999 on the Madrid side of the Sierra de Gredos, aiming to recover ancient vineyards of Garnacha and Albillo Real that had been cultivated since the 12th century. Located in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, the estate operates at high altitudes of around 900 meters on granitic soils. The unique terroir, characterized by a continental climate with Mediterranean influences, allows the native Albillo Real grape to develop exceptional complexity and structure. The winery is dedicated to preserving the region's literary and viticultural heritage, often featuring Spanish literature on its labels.
