These high-altitude vineyards are situated on alluvial and stony soils with silt and clay. Navarro Correas, founded in 1798, operates under the philosophy of 'Tradition is to always make a Better wine,' focusing on preserving and enhancing their terroirs. The Alegoría Gran Reserva is considered an expression of Mendoza Malbec, achieved through the careful blending of these unique plots.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Navarro Correas Alegoria Malbec 2019 is produced from 100% Malbec grapes sourced from three distinct vineyard blocks in Mendoza: La Consulta, Los Árboles, and Agrelo. These high-altitude vineyards contribute specific characteristics to the blend. Following harvest, the wine undergoes aging for 15 months in a combination of French oak barrels (80%) and American oak barrels (20%). Additional maturation occurs in larger foudres, a technique used to facilitate lees contact for protein transfer, maturation, and tannin softening. The winery's approach is guided by a philosophy of continuous improvement rooted in tradition.
