ABOUT THIS WINE
Produttori di Manduria is the oldest active cooperative in Puglia, founded in 1932. While internationally famous for safeguarding and championing the red Primitivo grape, the cooperative also crafts exceptional white wines from indigenous Puglian varieties. 'Alice' is a monovarietal Verdeca sourced from selected vineyards in the Salento peninsula. The proximity to both the Ionian and Adriatic seas provides constant maritime breezes, which help maintain freshness and develop complex aromatic profiles in the grapes, showcasing a different, vibrant side of Puglian viticulture.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Verdeca grapes are harvested manually in the cool early morning hours to preserve their delicate primary aromas. Upon arrival at the winery, the fruit undergoes a gentle pressing followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 15-18°C. To preserve the natural crispness, varietal purity, and mineral tension of the Verdeca grape, the wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation and is aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees before bottling.
