Almodí Especial

Almodí Especial is a distinctive red wine crafted by Joan Arrufí at Altavins Viticultors, located in the Terra Alta DO of Catalonia, Spain. This wine is a varietal expression of Garnatxa Peluda (Hairy Grenache), a rare mutation of Grenache adapted to dry conditions with downy leaves that retain moisture. The vineyards are situated at high altitudes, influenced by the dry 'Cerç' wind and the humid 'Garbinada' sea breeze, which naturally protect the vines and allow for sustainable viticulture.
