WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Alto Otero begins with hand-harvested grapes, which are destemmed before undergoing a lengthy 40-day maceration. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in fiberglass tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in old French oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 18 months in used French oak barrels. Following barrel aging, it undergoes extensive bottle aging before release. The producer follows natural and traditional farming practices, avoiding synthetic chemicals and promoting biodiversity.
