WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Amalia Barbera d'Alba Superiore involves fermentation for 7-8 days with automated punch-downs and pump-overs. Natural malolactic fermentation is carried out in a temperature-controlled environment. Aging follows a dual approach: 8-12 months in stainless steel vats and 25-hectoliter wooden barrels (Allier and Slavonian Oak), followed by 8-10 months of bottle refinement. Harvest typically takes place in mid-September to early October. The producer began its conversion to organic agriculture in 2019, achieving certification in 2022.
