ABOUT THIS WINE
Begali Lorenzo Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2018 hails from the Valpolicella Classica sub-region of Veneto, Italy. Produced by the family-run Azienda Agricola Begali Lorenzo, this wine is a testament to traditional Valpolicella winemaking. The grapes, a blend of Corvina (65%), Rondinella (30%), and other native varieties (5%), undergo a 100-day drying process known as 'appassimento' after careful selection. The estate's vineyards are located in Cengia, on the slopes of the Castelrotto hill, employing the classic pergola vineyard structure. This vintage benefited from a warm summer, contributing to the grapes' ripeness.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Begali Lorenzo Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2018 begins with careful grape selection in the vineyard and a subsequent selection in the 'fruithouse'. The selected grapes are then dried for 100 days using the traditional 'appassimento' method. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately three years in a combination of large and small oak barrels. Further aging in bottle precedes its release to the market. The estate employs respectful agricultural practices, maintaining low and natural yields.
