ABOUT THIS WINE
Located in Valgatara, the Luigi Righetti estate is a historic, family-run winery established in 1909 by Angelo Righetti. Today, the fourth generation of the family, Gianmaria and Giuseppe, carries the legacy forward. Their father, Luigi, was the pioneer who expanded the winery beyond local consumption. The estate has earned an international reputation for producing authentic, high-quality Amarone della Valpolicella that remains accessible and affordable, challenging the high price barrier typically associated with this intensive style of winemaking.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
This wine is crafted using the traditional appassimento method. Hand-harvested in September, the grapes are placed in ventilated crates to dry for three to five months, concentrating sugars, acids, and skin phenolics. Following pressing in January or February, the must undergoes a slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for three years, with maturation split between traditional large oak casks and French oak barriques to integrate structure and complexity.
