ABOUT THIS WINE
Villa Della Torre is a Renaissance architectural estate situated in Fumane di Valpolicella, originally designed in the 16th century on the plan of an ancient Roman domus. Acquired in 2008 by the Mastella Allegrini family, it serves as the headquarters and flagship property for the Marilisa Allegrini Group. The front label prominently features the Camino del Leone, an iconic monstrous fireplace mascaron located inside the historic estate rooms. Bottled under its own dedicated label since the 2019 vintage, the winery represents a dedicated expression of single-estate Valpolicella heritage.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Grapes are hand-harvested into small crates during early September. Grapes undergo appassimento in the estate drying loft for approximately 90 days. Following berry selection, destemming, and soft pressing, cold fermentation is initiated at 15°C in stainless steel and cement tanks before warming to 30°C over three weeks. Malolactic fermentation is omitted. The wine ages for 18 months in large oak casks ranging from 10 to 25 hectoliters, followed by 12 months of bottle maturation prior to commercial release.
