ABOUT THIS WINE
Amicale Rosso Veneto IGT is a red wine from the Veneto region of Italy, produced by Cantine di Ora. A key characteristic of this wine is its use of the 'appassimento' technique, where grapes are dried for approximately 120 days to increase sugar concentration and intensify flavors. This method is similar to that used for Amarone wines. Cantine di Ora, founded in 1952, is part of Schenk Italian Wineries and focuses on producing refined wines that respect regional traditions while incorporating modern winemaking practices. The Veneto region itself is a significant area for Italian viticulture, known for its diverse wine production.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Amicale Rosso Veneto IGT is produced using a distinctive appassimento technique, where grapes are dried for around 120 days in wooden crates or on mats to concentrate their sugars and flavors. Some grapes may also be overripened on the vine. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for several months in oak barrels or tonneaux, with some aging periods extending to 12 months. This process contributes to the wine's full body and velvety texture.
