ABOUT THIS WINE
The Andrés Alonso project by Bodegas Raíces Ibéricas is a tribute to high-altitude Spanish viticulture and authentic rural characters, named after a real-life Spanish shepherd and friend of the winery. Founded in 1998 by winemaker Carlos Ruben, known as the 'Garnacha Whisperer', the estate focuses on discovering forgotten, old-vine parcels up to 1,000 meters above sea level to showcase indigenous grape varieties. Based in Maluenda, Aragon, the winery is a certified pioneer in sustainability, holding the 'Wineries for Climate Protection' certification.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Crafted from high-altitude vineyards at 800 meters in the clay-limestone soils of the Pisuerga Valley. The winemaking process begins with six hours of cold pre-fermentation skin maceration to extract intense aromatics. This is followed by a slow, cool fermentation at 12ºC to preserve fresh fruit characters. The wine then undergoes a brief bâtonnage (lees-stirring) on fine lees to introduce yeast-derived texture and complexity.
