ABOUT THIS WINE
Annia by Massican is a distinctive white wine from California, produced by Massican, a Napa Valley winery exclusively focused on white wines. Founded by Dan Petroski, Massican aims to create Mediterranean-inspired white wines that are fresh, mineral-driven, and food-friendly. The Annia blend is inspired by the classic white wines of Friuli, Italy, and represents a unique 'Cal-Ital' style. The grapes are sourced from both Napa and Sonoma counties. The 2024 vintage is the first to incorporate Pinot Bianco, alongside Ribolla Gialla, Tocai Friulano, and Chardonnay. The wine is named in honor of Dan Petroski's mother, Annia, connecting the wine to his family heritage and the Massican hills where his grandparents grew up.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Annia is produced by fermenting four distinct grape varietals β Ribolla Gialla, Tocai Friulano, Chardonnay, and Pinot Bianco β separately. Fermentation occurs in a mix of neutral French oak (62%) and stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine is aged in these neutral vessels. The final blend is assembled approximately six weeks before bottling. This meticulous process ensures each varietal's character is preserved and harmonized, resulting in a complex yet balanced white wine. The producer also highlights sustainable practices, with a significant portion of their source vineyards being organically farmed and a strict policy against glyphosate use.
