ABOUT THIS WINE
Ruffino's Aqua di Venus Rosé is a dry rosé wine from the Toscana IGT appellation in Italy. The wine's identity is rooted in its inspiration from Botticelli's 'Birth of Venus,' aiming to capture the essence of the Tuscan coast. It is produced by Ruffino, a historic winery established in 1877, known for its Tuscan wine heritage. The grapes are cultivated in the Maremma region of southern Tuscany, an area characterized by its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea and unique soil composition, which imparts a distinctive mineral character and elegance to the wine. The blend of Syrah, Pinot Grigio, Vermentino, and Sangiovese contributes to its unique profile.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Ruffino Aqua di Venus Rosé begins with hand-harvested grapes. The grapes are then gently pressed to extract the juice while preserving delicate aromas. Following a natural clarification of the must, fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled low temperatures. This process is designed to maximize the retention of primary aromas and flavors. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation. Post-fermentation, the wine is aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
