ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodega Ribera del Cuarzo is located in the unique, wind-swept landscape of the Río Negro Valley in Patagonia, Argentina. Founded by Felipe Menéndez, the estate benefits from the cooling southern winds and intense solar radiation characteristic of this high-latitude wine region. The 'Río de los Ciervos' line is named after the deer that historically roamed the riverbanks of this pristine valley. This wine showcases the elegant, fresh, and mineral-driven side of Patagonian Malbec, which stands in contrast to the broader, warmer-climate expressions found further north in Mendoza.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are hand-harvested from estate vineyards in the Río Negro Valley. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the vibrant primary fruit characteristics and floral aromas. A portion of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for several months to add complexity and round out the tannins, while the remainder stays in concrete or stainless steel to maintain freshness and purity of fruit.
