ABOUT THIS WINE
Established in 1942 by Désiré Rolet, Domaine Rolet is a historic benchmark of France's Jura region. Located on the steep hillsides of Arbois and Montigny-les-Arsures, the estate transitioned to new ownership in 2018 under three passionate families: Devillard, Dupuis, and Flambert. They have successfully combined meticulous Burgundian-style precision with a deep reverence for classical Jura traditions. The 'Tradition' red blend is a historical response to the region's challenging alpine climate, combining the three traditional red grapes of the Jura to create a harmonious, terroir-driven expression that captures the unique spirit of Arbois.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are sourced from old vines averaging over 40 years of age, planted on red marl and fatty gravel soils. Each of the three grape varieties—Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir—is harvested manually and vinified separately to respect their different ripening times. After complete destemming, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and a two-week maceration. The wines are aged separately for 12 months in large, neutral oak foudres and older oak barrels (with no new oak used) to preserve fruit purity. The final blend is assembled three months before bottling.
