ABOUT THIS WINE
Weingut Rosi Schuster, located in Austria's Burgenland region, is currently led by Hannes Schuster, who took over from his mother Rosi in 2007. The estate is highly regarded for its minimalist, low-intervention approach to viticulture and winemaking. 'Aus den Dörfern' translates to 'From the villages,' representing a regional blend sourced from organic parcels across Sankt Margarethen, Zagersdorf, and Oslip. This cuvée is crafted to express the joyful, drinkable character of Burgenland's traditional grape varieties rather than focusing on single-vineyard weight. The estate's commitment to organic farming since 2009 and its focus on native varieties have earned it a cult following among wine enthusiasts globally.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for this cuvée emphasizes minimal intervention to preserve the natural character of the fruit and terroir. Grapes are strictly hand-harvested from organically farmed vineyards. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation is carried out using only native, wild yeasts. Hannes Schuster utilizes up to 30% whole-cluster fermentation to introduce structural complexity and freshness. The wine is aged on its fine lees for 10 to 14 months in a combination of stainless steel tanks and large, neutral used oak casks. To maintain its natural texture and purity, the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions.
