ABOUT THIS WINE
AVIVO Wines, co-founded by tech entrepreneur Ridgely Evers and winemaker Daniel Fitzgerald in partnership with grower Craig Ledbetter, champions Mediterranean grape varieties suited to California's climate. Evers' transition from tech to farming was driven by a desire to sequester carbon at scale, leading him to focus on grapes like Vermentino that require fewer agricultural inputs. The AVIVO White is sourced from the River's Edge Vineyard in Lodi's Clements Hills sub-appellation, a site managed by Vino Farms and farmed to the strictest ecological standards, holding certifications for Organic, Biodynamic, Regenerative, and Glyphosate-Free viticulture. AVIVO is a pioneer in ingredient transparency, voluntarily listing minimal ingredients on its bottles, and utilizes eco-conscious packaging.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The AVIVO White is a 100% Vermentino, spontaneously fermented using indigenous yeasts. Winemaker Daniel Fitzgerald practices minimal intervention, with the wine's only listed ingredients being organic grapes and a minimal touch of sulfur dioxide at bottling. No commercial yeasts, added sugars, concentrates, or artificial colorings are used. The wine is aged for 9 months on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks to develop mid-palate roundness and preserve its clean varietal character without the influence of oak. The 2025 vintage is noted for its lower alcohol content compared to previous years, highlighting a fresher, lighter style.
