ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodegas Barbadillo, founded in 1821 in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, is one of the most historic and respected houses in the Marco de Jerez. This unique Oloroso is aged in 'La Compañía', a romantic and historic cellar that was originally built as a Jesuit convent in 1630. Unlike standard Olorosos drawn from the bottom solera row, the Criadera Selection is drawn from the younger, upper tiers (criaderas). This captures a beautiful sweet spot where youthful energy and bright acidity collide with mature, oxidative complexity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Sourced from 100% Palomino Fino grapes grown in the chalky white Albariza soils of the Gibalbín and Santa Lucía estates. After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel, the base wine is fortified to 18% ABV to prevent the development of flor, directing the wine into purely oxidative aging. It is aged for an average of 10 to 12 years in traditional 500-liter American oak casks. It is bottled 'En Rama' (unfiltered and unfined) in micro-batches to preserve its natural viscosity, color, and aromatic intensity.
