WINE MAKING PROCESS
La Spinetta Barbaresco Valeirano 2012 is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The winemaking process involves fermentation in temperature-controlled rotary fermenters or vats for 7-14 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. The wine then undergoes aging for 20-22 months in new French barriques, with 20-50% new oak usage. Post-barrique aging includes 3-9 months in steel vats, and a final 6-12 months of bottle aging. The vineyard practices are organic and sustainable.
