ABOUT THIS WINE
The Barbera d'Asti Superiore La Luna e i Falò 2020 is a red wine from Piedmont, Italy, made from 100% Barbera grapes. It is produced by Vite Colte, a cooperative founded in 1956 that brings together over 2,500 winegrowers. The wine's name, 'La Luna e i Falò,' is inspired by a famous novel by Cesare Pavese. This wine is considered a flagship of Vite Colte's 'Superbarbera' project, which involves selecting the best vineyard parcels from their member estates to create a distinguished expression of the Barbera grape. The region of Piedmont is a significant area for Italian winemaking, known for its quality red wines.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Barbera d'Asti Superiore La Luna e i Falò 2020 is produced using traditional winemaking methods. Grapes are hand-harvested and selected, followed by a 10-day maceration period at temperatures between 20-30°C. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks. Following these processes, the wine is aged for approximately 12 months in barriques. Vite Colte's approach emphasizes low yields and careful vineyard management, reflecting a commitment to quality and tradition.
