WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Vietti Barolo Castiglione 2020 is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks with daily cap submersion or submerged cap maceration for 3-4 weeks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in oak. The wine is then aged for 30 months in large oak casks of various sizes, with some maturation also occurring in barriques. Grapes are sourced from vineyards across Barolo, with vines aged between 10 and 45 years, planted in clay-limestone soils. Harvest is conducted by hand in October.
