ABOUT THIS WINE
Barolo DOCG Castelletto by Fratelli Seghesio is a red wine from the Piedmont region of Italy, specifically Monforte d'Alba within the Castelletto cru. Produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, this wine is classified as Barolo DOCG. The estate, Fratelli Seghesio, was founded in 1988 and is managed by the second generation of the family, who are committed to expressing their terroir through a blend of tradition and innovation. This particular bottling comes from the younger vines within their Castelletto vineyard, aiming for an elegant and balanced expression of the cru. The vineyard is situated at an elevation of 350 meters with a south-east exposure, on soils rich in tuffaceous clay and limestone. The winery employs sustainable farming practices, holding SQNPI certification.
