ABOUT THIS WINE
Barolo La Tartufaia Giulia Negri is a 100% Nebbiolo from the Barolo DOCG appellation in Piedmont, Italy. Giulia Negri, a descendant of a long winemaking family, inherited the Serradenari estate and applies a philosophy that blends tradition with innovation, influenced by her appreciation for Burgundy. The 'La Tartufaia' designation likely references the surrounding truffle forests.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Barolo La Tartufaia Giulia Negri begins with hand-harvested Nebbiolo grapes. Fermentation is spontaneous, occurring in wooden vats with an extended maceration period of 40-45 days to maximize extraction of color and tannins. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately two years in tonneaux and 25 hl oak barrels. Further refinement in the bottle precedes its release, adhering to Barolo DOCG aging regulations.
