ABOUT THIS WINE
The Parusso Barolo Mosconi is a 100% Nebbiolo from the Barolo DOCG in Piedmont, Italy, specifically from the Monforte d'Alba sub-region. The Parusso family's winemaking journey began in 1901, with Armando Parusso establishing the family bottling in 1971. His son, Marco Parusso, an oenologist, took over in 1986 and has guided the estate towards organic farming and experimentation. The Mosconi cru is noted for its power, distinguishing it from other Barolos produced by the estate. The 2020 vintage is described as a concentrated year.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Parusso Barolo Mosconi is produced using 100% Nebbiolo grapes. Key winemaking techniques include whole-bunch fermentation and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts, conducted without added sulfites. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for a minimum of 18 months in small oak barrels, with a notable use of new French Barriques. Grapes are harvested by hand with great care. The estate practices organic and sustainable agriculture. Marco Parusso's approach focuses on expressing the terroir, aiming for wines with elegance and finesse.
