Produced by Giacomo Grimaldi di Grimaldi Ferruccio, the 2018 vintage reflects the year's characteristics. The Grimaldi family has a long history in winemaking, with the estate now managed by Ferruccio Grimaldi, who emphasizes quality through meticulous vineyard work. The vineyards are situated in the Langhe sub-region, known for its clay-limestone soils and fossil marl, which are conducive to growing Nebbiolo grapes.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Barolo Piccole Vigne involves a maceration period of 8-10 days in temperature-controlled steel vats. Following this, malolactic fermentation occurs in barrique. The wine is then aged for 12 months in French barriques, with 25% being new, followed by another 12 months in cask. An additional 8 months are spent in stainless steel tanks, and the wine is finished with 8 months of bottle aging before release.
