WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Basadone Pelaverga undergoes traditional vinification, with fermentation taking place in stainless steel for about ten days, utilizing periodic punching down of the cap. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for nine months in stainless steel, then spends three months in the bottle before release. The grapes are hand-harvested in early September. Castello di Verduno practices organic farming and adheres to a philosophy of minimal intervention to highlight the varietal and regional characteristics.
