WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages 2022 is produced using 100% Gamay Noir grapes. Harvesting is done manually in whole bunches. The grapes undergo a maceration period lasting six to eight days, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 26-28°C. The wine completes 100% malolactic fermentation. Post-fermentation, the wine is aged in tank. The vineyards are located in the Beaujolais-Villages appellation, with vines averaging over 50 years old, grown on granite and sandy soils at altitudes between 250-450 meters. Average yields are 50 hectoliters per hectare.
