ABOUT THIS WINE
The Beaune Premier Cru Boucherottes from Domaine de Héritières Louis Jadot is a 100% Pinot Noir from Burgundy's Côte de Beaune. The Boucherottes vineyard, an early acquisition by Jadot, is situated in Beaune, bordering Pommard. The 2021 vintage was marked by challenging weather conditions, including an April frost and a cool, wet summer, which led to reduced grape yields but a notable purity in the harvested fruit. Maison Louis Jadot, established in 1859, is known for its commitment to expressing Burgundy's diverse terroirs, with winemaker Frédéric Barnier aiming to craft wines that reflect this diversity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Beaune Premier Cru Boucherottes is produced from 100% Pinot Noir. Following harvest, the grapes undergo fermentation, typically in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for around 18 months in oak barrels, with a proportion of new oak used to contribute to its structure and complexity. The 2021 vintage's harvest was characterized by vigilance due to challenging climatic conditions, leading to reduced yields but high-quality grapes.
