ABOUT THIS WINE
The Kracher Beerenauslese Cuvée is a noble sweet white wine from Austria's Burgenland region, produced by Weingut Kracher. This wine is a blend of Welschriesling and Chardonnay, a result of grapes affected by 'noble rot' (Botrytis cinerea), a fungus that concentrates sugars and flavors. The unique microclimate around Lake Neusiedl is instrumental in the development of this fungus, enabling the production of concentrated sweet wines. The Kracher family has a long tradition of producing exceptional sweet wines, contributing to the international recognition of Austrian sweet wine production.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Kracher Beerenauslese Cuvée involves the selective harvesting of grapes affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea). The grapes are then vinified, with a significant portion fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks and a smaller percentage in large oak casks for a specified duration. Malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided to preserve the wine's natural acidity. The residual sugar levels are high, characteristic of the Beerenauslese classification.
