ABOUT THIS WINE
Běl by Milan Nestarec is a white table wine from Moravia, Czech Republic, produced by renowned winemaker Milan Nestarec. The wine is a blend of Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, and Müller-Thurgau, sourced from estate-owned vineyards in Moravský Žižkov and Velké Bílovice. The name 'Běl' is an archaic Czech word for 'white,' reflecting the wine's traditional roots. Nestarec's winemaking philosophy emphasizes organic farming and minimal intervention, aiming to create an accessible and unpretentious wine. The wine is bottled in a distinctive 1-liter format, a size historically common in the region and intended for sharing. This wine is a testament to Moravian viticultural heritage, crafted for everyday enjoyment.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Běl is produced using classical winemaking methods with a focus on minimal intervention. The grapes undergo a gentle, whole-bunch direct press without maceration. Fermentation is spontaneous, driven by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, sometimes with a portion in neutral oak, and without strict temperature control. Following fermentation, the wine ages for 6 to 8 months on its lees in stainless steel and occasionally neutral oak barrels. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered, with minimal or no sulfur added at bottling. The grapes are hand-harvested from organically farmed vineyards.
