ABOUT THIS WINE
Belguardo Bronzone is a single-vineyard Cru produced by the legendary Marchesi Mazzei family at their coastal estate, Tenuta Belguardo, in the Maremma region of Tuscany. The Mazzei family, with winemaking roots dating back to the 11th century, acquired the estate in the mid-1990s, recognizing the immense potential of the coastal terroir. The estate's emblem is the Icosahedron Elevatus, a three-dimensional star polyhedron drawn by Leonardo da Vinci in 1497, symbolizing structural perfection and the unique identity of each wine in their portfolio. This Riserva is crafted to showcase the elegance and age-worthiness of Morellino di Scansano.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are sourced from the dedicated Bronzone vineyard in Montebottigli, situated on hillsides at 70 to 130 meters above sea level with rocky sandstone and limestone soils. The hand-harvested Sangiovese grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration for 14 to 16 days to optimize extraction. The wine is then aged for 14 months in small French oak barrels (barriques and tonneaux), with a portion being new oak, to integrate structure and complexity before bottling.
