ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodegas Beronia was founded in 1973 by a group of friends from a Basque gastronomic society ('txoko') who wanted to craft the perfect wines to pair with their culinary creations. Located in the heart of Rioja Alta, in the historic town of Ollauri, the winery is named after the Berones, a Celtic tribe that inhabited the region during the 3rd century BC. Today, Beronia is recognized globally for its commitment to sustainability, featuring a state-of-the-art, gravity-fed winery that is fully integrated into the landscape.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The hallmark of Beronia's winemaking is its pioneering use of mixed oak barrels—featuring American oak staves for sweet vanilla notes and French oak ends for structure and spice. The wine is aged for 12 months in these mixed barrels, followed by a minimum of 3 months of refinement in the bottle before release.
