ABOUT THIS WINE
Beyra Moscatel Galego Branco 2021 is a white wine from the Beira Interior region of Portugal, produced by Rui Roboredo Madeira. It is made from 100% Moscatel Galego Branco grapes grown in high-altitude vineyards, over 700 meters above sea level, a characteristic of the producer's 'Vinhos de Altitude' concept. The vineyards are managed using dry-farming and certified organic practices. The region's continental climate with significant day-night temperature variations contributes to the wine's aromatic intensity and freshness. Rui Roboredo Madeira's philosophy centers on respecting nature and allowing the native grape varieties to express the unique terroir of the Beira Interior, characterized by its schist soils and wild flora.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Beyra Moscatel Galego Branco 2021 is produced from hand-picked grapes that are fully destemmed and crushed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures (16-17°C) for about 20 days, using indigenous yeasts. Following fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees in stainless steel vats, with a 15-day period of lees stirring (bâtonnage). It then undergoes 5 months of bottle aging before release. The producer emphasizes organic viticulture and dry farming practices in the high-altitude vineyards of Beira Interior.
