ABOUT THIS WINE
The Wieninger Bisamberg Wiener Gemischter Satz 2021 is a white wine from Vienna, Austria, representing a revival of the traditional 'Gemischter Satz' style. This means multiple grape varieties are planted, grown, harvested, and fermented together in the same vineyard. Weingut Wieninger, a family winery with over 100 years of history, is a leading proponent of this historic Viennese winemaking method, with Fritz Wieninger being a key figure in its modern resurgence. The Bisamberg vineyard, situated east of the Danube, contributes its unique terroir to the wine. The 2021 vintage experienced varied weather conditions during the September harvest.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Bisamberg Wiener Gemischter Satz 2021 is produced using traditional field blend methods. Multiple grape varieties are grown together in the Bisamberg vineyard. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed. Fermentation is initiated spontaneously with native yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Some Gemischter Satz wines may undergo a brief period of skin contact. The wine then undergoes a medium aging period in stainless steel tanks before bottling. The 2021 harvest was affected by variable weather in September.
