ABOUT THIS WINE
The Bourgogne Pinot Noir Les Ursulines by Maison Jean-Claude Boisset is a red wine from the Burgundy AOC in France, made from 100% Pinot Noir. The wine originates from the historic Les Ursulines estate, a former 17th-century convent in Nuits-Saint-Georges, which is central to the winery's operations. The 2024 vintage was characterized by challenging weather conditions, including limited sunshine and rain, which necessitated careful vineyard management and meticulous grape sorting, resulting in very low yields. The wine is produced with a focus on expressing the quintessential character of Burgundy.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for this Bourgogne Pinot Noir begins with hand-harvested grapes that undergo rigorous sorting both in the vineyard and at the winery. The destemmed but uncrushed grapes are gravity-fed into tanks for approximately twenty days of maceration, with extraction achieved through gentle punch-downs and pump-overs. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months on its lees without racking. A small percentage of new French oak, lightly toasted, is used to add subtle complexity. The wine is bottled after a gentle filtration.
