ABOUT THIS WINE
Brancott Estate is globally celebrated as the pioneer of Marlborough, New Zealand, famously planting the region's first Sauvignon Blanc vines in 1975. However, this Pinot Grigio represents a creative departure from their home territory. Seeking to craft a highly refreshing, crisp Pinot Grigio in a traditional style, the winemakers crossed the Tasman Sea to source pristine grapes from the sunny, reliable vineyards of South Eastern Australia. This cross-border approach combines New Zealand's precise winemaking philosophy with premium Australian-grown fruit, resulting in a highly approachable and vibrant expression.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes for this vintage were machine-harvested during the cool night hours to preserve their delicate primary fruit aromas and natural acidity. Upon arrival at the winery, the fruit was gently crushed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Cultured commercial yeasts were selected to optimize clean citrus and orchard fruit esters. Following fermentation, the wine remained on its fine lees in stainless steel for a short period to develop a rounded mouthfeel before undergoing filtration and early bottling to retain maximum freshness.
