WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Bründlmayer Brut Reserve is produced using the traditional method, involving a secondary fermentation in the bottle. The base wine is fermented, with some portion potentially undergoing malolactic fermentation and aging in used Austrian oak barrels. Following secondary fermentation, the wine rests on its lees for approximately 18 months, a process that imparts complexity and texture. After riddling and disgorgement, the wine is ready for release. The estate employs nature-oriented cultivation, with a history of sustainable practices since 1979 and organic farming since 2015.
