WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Brunello di Montalcino Pianrosso 2010 is produced from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel and glass concrete vats with temperature control. The wine is aged for approximately three years in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by a minimum of eight months of bottle refinement before release. Some sources indicate an additional ten months in stainless steel vats prior to bottling.
