ABOUT THIS WINE
Caves Bohigas is a historic family-owned estate located at Can Macià in the municipality of Òdena, within the Anoia river basin. The estate has a rich history of grape growing and agriculture dating back to at least the 13th century, with estate-bottled sparkling wine production officially beginning in 1933. The vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate influenced by the Anoia river, featuring cold winters and hot, dry summers, tempered by sea breezes. This terroir, combined with limestone-rich soils, allows the estate to produce sparkling wines with distinctive mineral character and balanced acidity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
This Cava is crafted using the traditional method (méthode champenoise). Each grape variety—Xarel·lo, Macabeo, and Parellada—is harvested and vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts. After the primary fermentation, the base wines are blended and bottled with a liqueur de tirage to undergo secondary fermentation in the estate's underground cellars. The wine is aged on its fine lees for a minimum of 15 months, which qualifies it for the 'Reserva' designation, before being disgorged and finished with a minimal dosage to maintain its dry, crisp profile.
