ABOUT THIS WINE
Buccia, meaning 'skin' or 'peel' in Italian, is an organic skin-contact wine produced by Iconic Wines. Founded in Sweden in 2015, Iconic Wines collaborates with international vineyard partners to create expressive, focused wines. Sourced from organic vineyards in Sicily near Mount Etna, this bottling reinterprets the indigenous Carricante grape—traditionally used for crisp white wines—by fermenting it with extended skin contact.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The organically farmed Carricante grapes are harvested when acidity and aromatics achieve optimal balance. Upon reaching the winery, the grapes are crushed and fermented together with their skins, utilizing traditional red winemaking methods to extract gentle tannins, color, and aromatic complexity. Following fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks to retain its fresh acidity and fruit character before bottling.
