ABOUT THIS WINE
Alberto and Caterina Burzi reclaim their family's prized Capalot vineyard in La Morra, Piedmont. For decades, their grandparents leased this old-vine plot (dating back to the late 1940s) to legendary modernist Roberto Voerzio, who used it for his cult Barolo Riserva. In 2012, at age 26, Alberto chose not to renew the lease, reclaiming the land to bottle under his own name. Today, the estate represents a 'Third Way' in Barolo, balancing traditional techniques with pristine fruit purity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Hand-harvested from 80-year-old vines in the Capalot MGA. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Extended skin maceration for 40 days using the traditional submerged cap (cappello sommerso) technique. Aged in large, neutral 30 HL Austrian oak barrels (botti) to preserve primary fruit, followed by approximately one year in concrete tanks before bottling without heavy oak influence.
