ABOUT THIS WINE
Azienda Agricola Burzi is run by the sibling duo Alberto and Caterina Burzi in La Morra, Piedmont. Alberto studied agronomy and reclaimed his family's historic vineyards in 2012, which had previously been leased to famous modernist producers or sold to cooperatives. Burzi represents the 'Third Way' in Piedmont, bridging the gap between strict traditionalists and modernists by focusing on neutral oak, concrete tanks, and innovative canopy management to deliver fresh, terroir-driven wines.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-harvested from young vines in La Morra. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using natural yeasts. Maceration and skin contact last approximately 10 days with daily pump-overs. The wine is aged for a couple of months in large, neutral Austrian Stockinger oak casks, followed by a minimum of three months in concrete tanks before bottling to preserve the pure, uninhibited fruit character of the Nebbiolo grape.
