WINE MAKING PROCESS
Dow's 10 Year Old Tawny Port is produced by Symington Family Estates using traditional Portuguese red grape varietals. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel and granite lagares. The wine undergoes an average of 10 years of aging in seasoned oak casks in Vila Nova de Gaia. This aging process allows for controlled oxidation, developing the characteristic Tawny profile. The final wine is a blend of Ports of different ages to achieve consistency and the signature Dow's house style. Grapes are hand-harvested from historic vineyards managed with integrated production and organic viticulture principles.
