ABOUT THIS WINE
Trujillo Wines is the personal project of veteran winemaker Michael Trujillo, who arrived in Napa Valley in 1982 from his family's ranch in Colorado. After over three decades of directing winemaking at notable estates such as Sequoia Grove and Herb Lamb, Trujillo established his own label to focus on small-scale, elite-quality blends. This flagship Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon represents his philosophy of blending classic Bordeaux varieties to achieve balance, elegance, and complexity rather than raw power.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The 2017 vintage is crafted from grapes sourced across three premier Napa Valley AVAs: Rutherford (Morisoli Vineyard), Howell Mountain (Henry Brothers Vineyard), and St. Helena (Healy Vineyard). The blend consists of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec. Following a warm growing season with low yields, the wine was aged for 22 months in 100% French oak barrels, of which 88% were new, resulting in a structured and highly concentrated profile.
