WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Cal Pla Blanc begins with hand-harvested grapes from the last week of September. The grapes undergo a 24-hour maceration period with their skins before fermentation. Fermentation is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for five months on its lees. This aging occurs in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels, with sizes of 225 and 300 litres. The vineyard practices are informed by the estate's long history, with vines averaging 15 years old grown on slate soils at an altitude of 300 meters.
