ABOUT THIS WINE
The Salatin Carattere Prosecco Brut is a non-vintage sparkling white wine from the Veneto region of Italy, made from 100% Glera grapes under the Prosecco DOC appellation. The Salatin family has a long history in winemaking, dating back centuries, with the current winery established in 1947. Their vineyards are situated in notable areas, including the Prosecco hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The wine is distinguished by its organic production methods and the specific microclimate of its growing region, which is influenced by the Cansiglio uplands. This combination of heritage, location, and sustainable farming practices shapes the wine's identity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Salatin Carattere Prosecco Brut begins with the gentle pressing of 100% Glera grapes. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out using selected yeasts. The crucial secondary fermentation, which creates the wine's sparkle, is performed using the Charmat method. This process involves aging the wine in pressurized tanks at controlled, low temperatures for a minimum of 45 days. The winery adheres to organic farming practices and is certified by the SQNPI system.
