WINE MAKING PROCESS
Freixenet Carta Nevada is produced using the traditional method, a process that involves secondary fermentation in the bottle to create its effervescence. The grapes, primarily Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada, are hand-picked and initially fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures. Following bottling, a secondary fermentation occurs, after which the wine ages on its lees for a minimum of nine months. This aging period contributes to the wine's character and texture before it is disgorged and prepared for release.
